Apr 14:  Train Museum Tour..  Mark Schneider Hosting 

On the second Saturday of April AHCO members have two places to be.  First is the Stacked Sandwich Shop located at 1643 SE 3rd Ave (Click for map from the Sandwich Shop to the Rail Museum).  Meet there at 11:45 am.  Next at 12:45 pm we drive a mere 0.4 mile to Oregon Railroad Heritage Museum located at 2250 SE Water Ave (click to see map). The museum contains several very large locomotives, models trains, a gift shop, and lots of railroad history.  There is ample safe parking on a gravel lot beneath the Highway 99 viaduct. 

This is the Southern Pacific No. 4449. The locomotive is 110 ft long, 16 ft tall and weighs 433 tons. Although massive the engine can move along in excess of 100 mph.

The museum has several model trains on display.

June 21 – 24:  Canadian NW Meet 2018

The AHOABC will be hosting the 2018 North West Meet at the Prestige Ocean Front Resort, 6829 W Coast Rd, Sooke, BC, Canada, V9Z 0V1

Sooke is located on the Southern tip of Vancouver Island about an hour west of Victoria’s Inner Harbor. Registration for this event is $110 per person. Registration covers Friday night BBQ/Pub night and Saturday night banquet.

Room rates per night: (plus taxes and fees)
     Std Queen or King – $148.99 (Queen X 10, King X 4)
     Harbor View Room – $165.99 (Dbl X 10, King X 8)
     Oceanfront Room – $225.49 (King X 7)
     Oceanfront w/balcony – $249.49 (King X 8)
Breakfast will be on your own. All prices are Canadian Dollors

Driving tours and other places of interest will be laid out. Those attending from the U.S. may want to take advantage of the Blackball Ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria or the Washington State ferry from Anacortes to Sidney. Either choice would be shorter and avoid the lines at the border crossings.

Hotel Reservations: Please phone the hotel at 250-642-0805 to book. Make sure that you mention the Austin Healey Meet to ensure your discounted rate. Please book before May 21st to ensure rate and room.

Please note: These prices are in Canadian Dollars. Currently the US Dollar is about 20-25% higher. Something priced at $100 CDN will cost $75-$80 US.

July 14:  Michael Hartfield will host a dinner at his house in Bend, OR. We will tour over, have a picnic lunch and stay the night in wonderful motel hear Michael’s house.

Aug 19:  Vashon Island Tour with Cascade Club (overnighter).  George Koeber hosting.

Sep 7 – 9:  ABFM at PIR

Sep 16 – 21: Healey Rendezvous

Place:  Madras, Oregon.  Inn at Cross Keys Station,

Early arrivals Sunday, September 16 (recommended arrival day).  “Official” first day with evening welcome reception, Monday the 17th.  The event wraps up Thursday evening, September 20, with awards dinner.  Friday, September 21 is a drive-home day that begins at the Inn.

Oct 17 – 21st:  California Healey Week 2018

It will be held in Solvang, CA. Registrations are now open… register online at by clicking on the event logo and following the instructions.  Once you register with us, you will get a confirmation email with your Registration Number and instructions for making your room reservations at the Hotel Corque.  Stay tuned to our website for periodic updates and announcements.  Hope to see you in Solvang next October!

Nov 10:  Putt-putt golf and lunch at Island Greens.

Dec 8:  Christmas Party.
